This is a pictured of Elizabeth (Lizzie) Banks as a young woman. Her family were Old Skemmers and she was born at number 8 Field Street. Lizzie went to Barnes Road School and worked at the Orme Mill. She married Jimmy Banks and they lived in Elson Road, the first house on the left just behind the Skem Co-op building which adjoined Sandy Lane.
