Mission statement

To preserve and promote Skelmersdale's farming and coal mining heritage and exhibit all aspects of local history at various points around the town, particularly to the younger generation and the influx of new residents since the town's major development.

My family followed Skem United and we went to matches everywhere. I remember most the windy stand at skem uniteds ground. Sitting in there in the freezing cold with a snow covered ground waving my scarf and rattling my homemade rattle with pride!!
