Mission statement

To preserve and promote Skelmersdale's farming and coal mining heritage and exhibit all aspects of local history at various points around the town, particularly to the younger generation and the influx of new residents since the town's major development.

Wonderful memories!!Skem has changed so much, I don’t think I would be able to find my way around now,more than forty years in Canada. I was born in Ormskirk Hospital, my parents lived in Stormy Corner at the time.We moved to Holland Moor when I was quite young; however I had family members from both sides of the family living in Skem all my life, and have many memories of time spent there.
